2020 USA Curling Junior National Championships

Junior National Championships
Qualification Bonspiel Information

The Junior National Championships are aimed at determining our top junior-aged teams from within the United States. The field of eight teams will be determined by a berth qualifier system which will select six teams, and the HPP junior teams will fill the last two spots.

Event Eligibility: Any player who is less than 21 years of age at any time on or before the 30th day of June of the year immediately preceding the year the competition is to take place (6/30/2019). Players must be United State Citizens as of the deadline date. In addition, players must be paid members of a USCA member club.

Entry Process and Playdown Window: All participants must register and pay the USCA registration fee prior to playing in their first qualifier. Teams must register with the host of the qualifier(s) of their choice. Club bonspiel fees may be charged and are non-refundable and will be retained by the club for its expenses. Teams may enter as many events as they wish. Teams (and individual players) will be ineligible to play in any successive qualifying event if they have secured a berth in a previous berth qualifier to Junior Nationals. Teams do not need to have the same team members for each event. Teams may reconfigure with different players for each event. Once a team is qualified to the Junior National Championships, the team is set and there is no option to add or remove players (only alternates if one had not been selected for the qualification event).

2020 Junior Qualification Bonspiel Dates, Locations & Registration InformationPlanning – All qualifiers will have an optional Friday morning pre-event practice, and all qualifiers will conclude by late Sunday afternoon.  If you are flying to an event, plan on arriving Thursday evening and departing Sunday evening. Depending on numbers, qualifiers may start later and end earlier, but under no circumstances will they run outside these guidelines.
